On a Kilted Haggis tour we bring Glasgow’s historical, compelling and sometimes gruesome past to life. You will visit some iconic Glasgow tourist attractions whilst engaging in informative, entertaining commentary.
The Tour lasts approximately 2 and a half hours, which includes a live music set of traditional Scottish music. Our Glasgow walking tour will stop at 8 Glasgow tourist attractions and points of interest as detailed on the map opposite. So come along, and let us entertain you for a few hours – experience the true spirit of Glasgow in an afternoon.
You will meet your Kilted Haggis guides in George Square just before 11am on your chosen date, before walking to Buchanan Street, at Nelson Mandela Place. The next stop is on Queen Street at the Gallery of Modern Art, and from there you will go along Ingram Street, turning into Miller Street and stop in Virginia Court. Walking through the Merchant City and up High Street, the next attraction is Glasgow Cathedral where information will be provided on Medieval Glasgow including the Glasgow Necropolis and the Provand’s Lordship, before heading back down High Street to the Tollbooth Steeple. You will then be taken along Gallowgate to the Barrowland Walkway, before walking down to Glasgow Green’s Jocelyn Square. Finally, you will be taken back to the Merchant City where you can enjoy a live set of traditional Scottish music in one of the pubs or cafés. The walking tour will last around 2 hours, followed by 30 minutes of music.
